YOUR TASKS
- Fundamental research on topics relevant to the KiMeKo research project
- Publication of research results in journals and their presentation at relevant computer science / physics / mathematics conferences
- In case of a Ph.D. student, the aim will be to complete a Ph.D. dissertation
YOUR PROFILE
- Very good communication skills in English for publications, lectures and project meetings (C1)
- In-depth knowledge within the following areas is a major advantage:
- Data science, artificial intelligence and/or robotics
- Machine learning (supervised learning, deep neural networks, statistical learning theory, reinforcement learning)
- Strong mathematical background, for instance in at least one of the following fields: probability theory, functional analysis, differential and/or algebraic geometry, information theory, information geometry
- The following knowledge is an advantage:
- Experience in scientific writing of technical articles
- Experience using simulation tools for the implementation of learning rules
- Solid experience in Python, PyTorch and/or TensorFlow programming
