**Role Summary**:
**Financial accountant** with main responsibility for West Region, Regional Finance team located in Berlin is responsible for aspects of Financial controlling and management reporting. This includes supporting both management and local statutory financial accounts for all legal entities; VAT, Intrastat, CIT and other statutory reports/fillings, statutory audit, preparation of management reports, ad hoc.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- To support the financial controller in all aspects of finance.
More specific tasks but not limited to are:
- Assist with entity accounts, books and records, This will be required on a weekly or monthly basis for management reporting.
- Assist with reconciliation of balance sheet accounts (cash, intercompany, creditors, debtors, etc.)
- Assist of preparation of monthly accruals and prepayments
- Assist for preparation of monthly management accounts and journals.
- Assist for Fixed Assets preparation and reconciliation.
- Assist with administer VAT returns and any other local regulatory compliance items
- Assist with preparation of statutory audits
- Assist FC in various projects like: Subsidy request, Tax audit, Revenue project, etc
- Qualified Accountant
- Oracle experience an advantage
- Professional communication skills both written and verbal
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a team and individually.
- Experience of working in a medium to large corporate environment
- Experience in German market
**Essential Criteria**:
- Experienced Financial accountant
- English and German language knowledge
- Advanced Excel knowledge and knowledge of Accounting systems
