**Your day to day**:
The new Director Global Forecast & Business will be responsible for the on-going management and continuous improvement of the IHG global forecasting and budgeting tools & process, for all owned and managed hotels within IHG( 950 hotels), in line with owner, hotel and IHG objectives. In addition the position has responsibility of the Hotel actual reporting tool and process for NON PeopleSoft(PS) hotels (700+).

Key Accountabilities
- In conjunction with the VP of Global Finance BI & Information Delivery, design, implement, and monitor the global hotel forecasting, budgeting, long range planning and actual (NONPS hotels) process, system, and methodology to ensure compliance with owner, hotel, and corporate business requirements to deliver timely and accurate financial forecasts, budgets and actual data (NONPS) for executive and external review. This for both P&L & and CAPEX data.
- Responsible for Hotel and Owner forecasting and budgeting mid and long term strategy to achieve agreed owner, hotel and corporate requirements for financial forecasting and budgeting processes and systems
- Interfaces with vendors, owners, IDT, COE departments, Hotel Ops leaders, senior Finance staff (Directors & Hotel Controllers + Exec Team) to resolve complex forecasting and budgeting issues, gather business requirements, communicate initiative status and explain key financial planning concepts, processes and methodologies.
- Oversees relationship and establish service level agreements with external vendor that provides 24 hour by 7 day a week support for all company owned and managed hotels ( 950 hotels) and provides development resources to enhance the hotel/owner planning system
- Ensures the system and processes are deployed to all owned and managed hotels globally, hotel users are trained on the system and process, and the hotel users understand the driver based methodology used to generate budget, monthly actuals, monthly forecast, and full year forecast for all existing hotels plus pipeline hotels
- Provide direction and leadership to service delivery staff ensuring that staff is motivated, understand their roles and responsibilities, and have key performance objectives.
- Responsible to define and monitor key performance indicators across the hotel planning process.

**What we need from you**:

- Demonstrated hotel operational knowledge and hotel financial operational knowledge. Preferred in hotel experience.
- Strong financial, operational and analytical skills. Demonstrated proficiency in recognizing and resolving problems or inconsistencies in related hotel processes, assessing materiality and effect
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and responsibilities in organizing, planning and executing small to large-scale projects through implementation.
- Ability to facilitate effective global meetings through webcasts, conference calls, and face-to-face meetings with global constituents
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in hotel planning processes, knowledge of competitor process, and knowledge leading planning software programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Uniform System of Accounts.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to implement process change.
- Moderate travel required

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
- Accounting Qualification preferred (ACA,CIMA, CPA, CMA, CHAE)
- Fluent in English

Experience
- 10+ years’ progressive work-related experience in accounting/finance including specific experiences with Project Management, with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/technologies/processes related to the position.
- Experience in the design and delivery of process improvements involving technology solutions.
- Experience in working with the different cultures across our three regions.
