**The Role**:

- Support the Head of Technical Optimization in managing technical optimization with a focus on innovation related topics.
- Support the Team Lead of the Technical Innovation Hub in managing Innovation across the Renewables OpCos
- Work with team colleagues, experts and stakeholders to drive the development of a business-value focused innovation and optimization strategy and plan.
- Innovation Portfolio management
- Create new project ideas and assess these against strategic objectives and techno-economic viability with experts and business colleagues.
- Communicate within Renewables OpCos to share best practices and use synergies across the whole RWE Group
- Deliver agreed part of innovation and optimization project plan with regards to time, cost quality, HSSE, the extraction of maximum value and to facilitate smooth business implementation.
- Manage and support project managers and other project stakeholders and ensure appropriate project reporting.
- Work closely with our procurement and legal team to structure contracts to ensure best value and learning for RWE.
- Support sustainability topics within Technical Optimization.
- Manage and promote IP and knowhow development and protection.
- Promote a positive culture of HSSE awareness and continuous improvement and learning

**Requirements**:

- Successfully completed university degree in engineering, economics or natural sciences or comparable energy technology experience
- Several years of relevant business experience
- Good conceptual, analytical, and technical skills.
- Ability to build and motivate networks and project teams to deliver change.
- Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills incl. senior levels with an ability to flex style depending on cultural differences.
- Commercial judgement that is results oriented, open-minded and able to spot possibilities in uncertain and complex environments.
- Self-directing, working independently and able to identify key priorities and plan work accordingly.
- Operational and/or technical experience in Onshore Wind is desirable, as is experience in innovation.
- Understanding of applied project management is desirable.
