For our Projects Department, with a team of dedicated Project Managers overseeing several customer projects, we are looking for an experienced

**HEAD OF PROJECTS (M/F/D)**

**What you’ll be doing**:
As a Head of Projects you will be responsible for leading and managing the project portfolio, ensuring successful project outcomes in alignment with OroraTech’s objectives. You will be managing and developing a team of project managers, located in several sites, as well as interfacing with Solutions customers at management level. Particularly, you will
- Develop and implement project management systems in support of OroraTech’s long-term business objectives
- Establish project priorities and ensure resource allocation aligns with business needs, identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Oversee the planning of projects, including scope, timelines, and resource requirements, and ensure projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget
- Implement quality control measures to ensure deliverables meet the required standards and specifications
- Lead, mentor, and develop the team of project managers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources. Address and resolve conflicts or issues within project teams.
- Maintain regular communication across functional departments, management, and stakeholders. Foster collaboration across different departments (Solution Management, Product Management, Space Development) to ensure project alignment with organizational goals.
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with customers, ensuring their needs and expectations are met
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency. Generate regular reports on project status, progress, and performance. Prepare financial reports and forecasts for management.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project management practices, provide training and development opportunities for project management staff.

**Relevant Skills**:

- University degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in Aerospace industry, with significant (5+ years) experience as Project Manager with 30m+ budget responsibility, directly interfacing with technical & program offices at the European Space Agency or National Space Agencies, preferably with a track record of successful mission completions
- Experience with integrating satellite systems and/or subsystems, delivering flight hardware & software to space. Expertise in related quality assurance processes
- Good knowledge of Space Systems & Management principles, as well as experience in tailoring such standards for New Space projects. Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum and Waterfall.
- Personal and technical leadership skills to inspire and guide project teams towards successful outcomes, experience in setting up & rolling out project management systems across multiple sites
- Excellent decision-making skills, especially under pressure and with incomplete information. Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks in space projects.
- Entrepreneurial mind-set with experience in managing project budgets, in implementing cost control measures, and in managing contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Strong communicator, who effectively manages relationships with different stakeholders, government agencies and industry partners.
- Strong negotiator who secures favorable terms and conditions, and smoothly resolves conflicts and issues.
- Strong analytical skills to understand complex problems, devise clear and concise action plans, to solve problems, inform decision-making, or improve performance.
- Excellent English language skills, fluency in a second European language is a plus
- Willingness to travel
