**Job description**:The Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) in the Helmholtz Association is an international biomedical research center dedicated to understanding the molecular mechanisms of health and disease with the goal to devise new diagnostics and medicines. - develop novel approaches for increasing the yield and quality of secreted proteins through genome editing
- synthetic biology, and single-cell activity-based screening
- characterize engineered cells using techniques such as flow cytometry, and molecular biology assays
- collaborate with other members of the team to integrate new methods into our current workflows
- analyse and interpret data, prepare manuscript for publication in peer-reviewed journal, and interact with industry collaborations
**Requirements**:
- PhD in cell biology, biotechnology, molecular biology, or related field
- expertise in mammalian cell culture and genome editing techniques
- experience with protein expression and characterization techniques such as Western blotting, and ELISA
- strong background in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, cloning, and lentiviral transduction
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
