**Museum für Naturkunde Berlin** - **Public Engagement and Impact**:

- The Public Engagement and Impact Unit is part of the Society and Nature Science Programme of the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin. We support the strategic anchoring of Public Engagement in research by opening research culture and processes to wider society, beyond academia, with the aim of ensuring research is maximally relevant and applicable to societal needs, and reaches its full potential for impact.
- We're looking for a Public Engagement Coordinator

**Working field**:
As part of the future plan (Zukunftsplan) of the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, the Public Engagement and Impact is being established as a core field. The focus is on the strategic development and support of interaction formats between researchers and their stakeholders with mutual benefit. Together with our part-ners, we develop innovative formats and build a bridge between theory and practice. One work package is the development of a training and professional development portfolio in cooperation with the Berlin School of Public Engagement and Open Science.

**Responsibilities**:

- Development and delivery of events, collaboration projects, as well as a training portfolio for the Berlin School of Public Engagement and Open Science
- Local, national and international community building as well as the coordination and communica-tion with various stakeholders and partners
- Strategic conceptual development of the Berlin School as well as administrative support

**Requirements**:

- Academic degree or several years of proven work experience in a relevant field
- Interest and experience in one or multiple of the following topics: Science communication, Public Engagement, training, professional development, knowledge transfer, interdisciplinary and creative collaborations, project management, event organisation, innovation, data management, evaluation
- Proven experience in the conceptualisation, organisation and delivery of digital and/or physical events, trainings or workshop formats
- Profound knowledge in national and international community and network building and mainte-nance for various stakeholders and audiences
- Track record of experience in academic publications, project and evaluation reports
- Experience in collaboration and communication formats as well as supporting software packages (e.g. Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Miro, Padlet, newsletter editor, e-learning platforms)
- Experience of successfully working independently, organised and with multiple simultaneous dead-lines
- Experience of communicating with multiple stakeholders and audiences (in speaking and writing)
- Knowledge in financial administration and contracting are an advantage
- Fluent English (both orally and in writing), German knowledge of advantage
- Experienced with MS Office software package
