Bookkeeper - Full Time (Onsite) - Hamburg, Germany

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Renewable Energy Bookkeeper to join our team in Hamburg, Germany. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth financial operations of our renewable energy projects. **Responsibilities**:

- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, accounts payable and receivable, and expense tracking.
- Reconcile financial statements, bank accounts, and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather and organize financial data for reporting purposes.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by reconciling accounts and preparing necessary documentation.
- Maintain organized and well-documented financial records, both electronically and in hard copy.
- Assist in monitoring project budgets, expenses, and cost allocations related to renewable energy initiatives.
- Stay updated on financial regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.

Qualifications:

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel) for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and German.
- Experience with renewable energy projects or organizations is advantageous.
