**Senior Game Artist - New Game**

The art team is small, highly motivated and entrepreneurial. We work collaboratively and effectively. We iterate fast and everyone contributes to solving problems and making high quality mobile games. In this role, you will help our newly formed Berlin team to prototype and validate their game ideas fast. We work in self-organised teams and as a Game Artist you'll collaborate closely with the art team, game designers, UI artists and developers. You will be contributing to early concept discussions and retain ownership for creating, delivering and implementing your work.

**Responsibilities**
- Creating artwork for new game concepts in Photoshop and occasionally Maya
- Concepting and developing new mechanics and features with other disciplines
- Prepare, implement, test and manage art assets in click prototypes or in Unity
- Planning workflow and tasking your work
- Animating assets, effects and characters in Spine and Unity
- Assisting with UI assets and animations
- Participating in collaborative team discussions for future new game concepts

**Requirements**:
As a Senior Game Artist you will have high professional standards with good attention to quality and detail. You're very organised, proactive and always keen to learn and improve your skills. You are a great team player, but also have the ability to work flexibly and independently on tasks from conception to finish, using your problem solving abilities. You love getting involved with the creative side, and are also happy to work with developers and implement your work into the engine.
- Strong artistic abilities in rendering 2D assets, notably for environments and characters
- Experience in designing and rendering game assets for casual mobile games
- Player-centric approach and ability to adapt and champion the Trailmix art style
- Creating low poly 3D Maya assets for our environment, modelling and texturing
- Preparing and implementing assets into Unity, you're accountable for implementing your work correctly
- You work iteratively and embrace feedback already early on in the process

**Nice to Have**
- Working experience with Spine and animation (Examples in your portfolio)
- Strong Spine rigging experience, notably for characters
- .and a love and appreciation for fun cartoon animated media

**Location - Berlin**

Trailmix is currently operating under a hybrid work model - we have 3 days a week (Monday, Thursday & Friday) in person at our brand new studio in Berlin with the remaining 2 days available to work from home.
