Stratosphere Games is an AAA mobile game developer based in Berlin, Germany, looking for a Senior Character Artist to support the development of existing and upcoming projects.

As a Senior Character Artist, you will play a pivotal role in defining the look of the character, leveraging the modular components of the art pipelines, guiding our character creation process and creating high-quality assets.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Creating in-game characters from scratch following a concept art or art direction by keeping in mind and following the technical requirements.
- Modeling and texturing characters using industry-standard software such as Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, or similar tools.
- Working closely with Tech Art, concept art and other dependent departments throughout the character production process.
- Do all the pipeline steps for 3D asset creation (model, texture, baking, implementation)
- Iterate your models and textures based on feedback
- Create models in time and quality

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of work experience as a Character Artist
- Experience designing slick, detailed, modern, forward looking characters
- Strong understanding of human anatomy
- Strong understanding of color theory and how color affects mood & focal points
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop, or similar tools for character modeling and texturing.
- Passion for video games and a deep understanding of character design and its impact on gameplay and player engagement.
- Familiarity with rigging and animation principles is a plus.
- Communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to problem-solving and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in working with task tracking tools
- Ability to iterate your work based on feedback
