The **Warehouse Specialist, **as directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.

**_ JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES_**

Work involves, but is not limited to, the following:

- Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents.
- Noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
- Routing materials to prescribed storage locations.
- Storing stacking, or pelletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
- Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials.
- Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.
- Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.

**_ OTHER or ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES_**
- May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
- Perform other qualified duties as assigned

**_ KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS_**
- Knowledge of overall warehouse procedures.
- Must be able to obtain forklift/SRT license if required.
- Ability to perform task independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to perform work in a safe manner to prevent loss or damage of equipment.
- Customer-oriented with ability to courteously and effectively work through difficult situations.

**_ EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION_**
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Specialized training courses in Warehouse operations is desirable.
- Minimum of one-year actual experience as related to Warehouse operations.

**_ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT_**
- Must be able to Read, Write and Communicate effectively in English.
- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
- May be required to lift heavy objects whose weight may exceed 50 pounds.
- Will be required to handle dirty parts and lubricants.
- Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- May be required to pass a Respirator Physical and Fit Test qualification.
- May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, etc.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull minimum of 50 pounds.
- May work in warehouse or outside.
- Must be able to work in a shop where the environment is drafty, noisy and dirty.
- May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.
- May be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts or vehicles.

**_ TRAVEL_**
- May be required to travel domestically and internationally on short notice, to austere environments, under harsh living conditions.
