Mehr als 90 % aller Innovationen im Automobil basieren auf Elektronik und Software. Gerade hier sind große Freiräume und vernetztes Denken gefordert, um die Mobilität neu zu erfinden und ein völlig neues Fahrerlebnis zu ermöglichen. Deshalb geben wir Studierenden bei uns nicht nur die Gelegenheit zum Zuhören, sondern auch zum Mitreden und Weiterdenken.
Wir, die BMW Group, bieten dir eine spannende und abwechslungsreiche Masterarbeit im Bereich Quantum Computing. Im Rahmen dieser Masterarbeit wirst du aktiv das open-source Quantum Computing Application Benchmark (QUARK) Framework weiterentwickeln. Dafür wirst du durch enge Zusammenarbeit mit technischen Fachabteilungen Einblick in BMW-relevante Anwendungsfälle erhalten. Anschließend wirst du diese im QUARK Framework modellieren, Lösungsverfahren dafür erarbeiten und die Performances auf klassischer und Quanten-Hardware evaluieren. Die Ergebnisse sollen in Rahmen von Veröffentlichungen und im Austausch mit internen und externen Stakeholdern präsentiert werden.
**Was erwartet dich?**
- Du bist Teil eines hochqualifizierten, multikulturell besetzen Teams.
- Du entwickelst aktiv am Quantum Computing Application Benchmark. (QUARK) Framework mit und erweiterst dessen Applikationssprektrum.
- Du erlernst State-of-the-Art Methodiken in den Bereichen Quantencomputing und Benchmarking und wendest sie praxisnah an.
- Du erarbeitest mathematische Formulierungen von BMW-Anwendungsfällen, entwickelst Lösungsverfahren und evaluierst und die angewandten Methoden.
- Du stimmst dich regelmäßig mit internen und externen Stakeholdern aus dem Produktionsumfeld und Entwicklungs
- und IT-Abteilungen ab.
- Du veröffentlichst deine Ergebnisse gegebenenfalls in wissenschaftlichen Journalen und bei Präsentationen auf (internationalen) Konferenzen.
Bitte beachte, dass die Betreuung deiner Studienabschlussarbeit durch eine Hochschule/Universität deinerseits sichergestellt sein muss.
**Was bringst du mit?**
- Studium der Informatik, Physik, Mathematik oder eines vergleichbaren Studienganges.
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse im Bereich Quantencomputing.
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse und Erfahrung beim Programmieren mit Python.
- Gute Kenntnisse beim kooperativen Entwickeln mit Tools wie GitHub.
- Erfahrung im Bereich Optimierungsprobleme, deren Formulierung und Modellierung, (heuristischen) Lösungsansätzen und -Algorithmen von Vorteil.
- Gute Englischkenntnisse, Deutschkenntnisse von Vorteil.
