**The Role**:
The iOS Engineering team works closely with product teams to help millions of users find the ideal accommodation for their next trip. By collaborating with other engineering teams in trivago, we deliver our users the product they need, built on a sound technical foundation. We're now looking for an experienced Lead with an established background in iOS engineering to take over our iOS engineering team of 8 people. In this role, you'll help your team members grow their skill set, shape and drive the technical direction of our iOS app, and represent the team in company-wide contexts.

**How you'll make an impact**:

- Lead a team of 8 iOS engineers by offering guidance, supporting their skill development, and challenging them to deliver high quality work
- Establish efficient processes with other leads in the wider Apps team (including Android engineering, product management, UX design, quality assurance) to unite technical excellence with our business goals
- Oversee technical projects by collaborating with other engineering teams to develop end-to-end solutions
- Improve our technology by identifying technical opportunities for our app, developing technical road maps, and realizing them in collaboration with the team

**What we're looking for**:

- 2+ years' experience in leading iOS engineers
- Solid communication skills and the ability to formulate precise, actionable feedback
- Keen motivation to grow your own leadership skills as well as the technical skills of your team members
- Extensive knowledge of the iOS ecosystem, best practices and patterns, and a deep interest in the latest developments within the iOS engineering community
- Fluency in English (our company language)
