**Your mission**:
As an Engineering Lead at the Deutsche Postcode Lotterie, you are part of a team with Lead Developers and our Head of Tech. In your role you will mainly focus on technology and people. The role includes:

- Team management for at least one development team
- Ensure the successful execution of engineering projects and the continuous improvement of engineering processes.
- staff responsibility for the group of developers / QA
- Create a culture of innovation and learning using Agile methodologies
- Inspire development teams to encourage maximum performance, dedication, and enjoyment of their jobs
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as product management UX design, to align engineering objectives with overall business goals. Foster effective communication and coordination between teams.
- Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews for the engineering team members. Identify training and development needs and support their skill enhancement.
- Arrange hackathons and lab days
- Participate in various forums such as architecture, design and executive forum

**Your profile**:
You have experience and interest in building and leading development teams in an agile environment and have worked as a developer before. You understand that a team of happy, motivated and committed members creates wonders. You are driven by improving, developing and streamlining the work with a problem-solving and result-focused approach. **How do we work?**
We are three agile product teams with a total of 45 people where each team has full responsibility for their products. The teams are largely autonomous and as a development manager you support the team and make sure we have the right staffing to solve the task. The spoken language within the Tech-Team is English and within the organization German. Therefore, basic knowledge of the German language is a nice to have.
