What to expect
- You will teach “Business English“ and “Academic English“ (CEF B2/C1). The lessons take place in a variety of Bachelor and Master study programmes at the Münster School of Business. Group sizes will consist of 20-25 students.
- In addition, you will develop curricula based on module descriptions/examination regulations, create materials and exams and promote the use of digital media in the classroom and for self-study.
- You are committed to taking on tasks in self-administration and are willing to work in existing timetables.
- Last but not least, you will communicate effectively with students and colleagues.
Your background
- You have completed a university degree (Master's or equivalent degree), ideally in the field of English studies, American studies, English linguistics, and/or TEFL.
- You have English skills at C2 level or are a native speaker.
- You have many years of teaching experience in adult education and have experience designing teaching materials, ideally for "English as a foreign language" at levels B2 to C1 (especially Business English and/or Academic English).
- You are enthusiastic about modern forms of teaching and learning; preferably, you have already gained teaching experience at a university.
- We expect you to have experience teaching groups with diverse cultural backgrounds and different languages of origin. A valuable addition is your know-how in digital media.
- In addition, you are able to convince us that you can work independently and in a team, and that you are goal-oriented and flexible.
We offer you
- Permanent employment as a lecturer with specific duties, expected to start on 1st September 2023, at a renowned university of applied sciences.
- In addition to the teaching volume of 15 semester hours per week (75%), you will be expected to take on administrative responsibilities.
- For this position, we will offer you renumeration above the tariff standard salary, up to pay scale (TV-L) 12 or 13, depending on your personal qualifications and professional experience.
- You will be able to strike a healthy balance between work and leisure/family life.
- We expect and will support further professional training.
- You will have the opportunity to develop personally and to contribute content to an international team.
