**A Snapshot of Your Day**

As part of our team, you will contribute with your specific task to the structured assignment of properties to components and materials that are necessary and useful for downstream processes and their automation.

**How You’ll Make an Impact**
- Contribution of product and process knowledge in relation to the development and design of switchgear enables downstream process controls by means of classifications of the development results and their characteristics.
- Cooperation with software architects of downstream IT tools and the processing of the needs of the downstream processes into a class structure as well as into necessary contents of class elements enable process automations
- Development of the framework and structure of the classes in order to be able to map all portfolio elements appropriately in them.
- Contact person for the developers who carry out the classifications of components in their work process
- Collaboration as part of a team of material experts, supported by specialists in PLM systems, databases and data evaluation
- Measuring success not by strategy slides, but by creating real added value for the factories

**What You Bring**
- Degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering
- Analytical thinking and highly independent working style
- Many years of professional experience and in-depth knowledge of components used in switchgear construction and the ability to work out new material fields independently
- Ability, based on product knowledge, to define the product and parts list structures with the designers and the software developers, who are responsible for downstream systems, as hardware architect
- Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis (40%)
- Good written and spoken English
