Qualification position with the aim of being appointed to a professorship
at the earliest possible date for a fixed term of 4 years, provided that no previous qualification periods are to be taken into account, and with the option of extension after successful evaluation. The position offers a salary and benefits commensurate with a public service position in the state Hesse, Germany (TV-H E 13).
**Tasks**:
- scientific services in research and teaching
- Development of new and innovative fields of research, for example in the area of molecular regulatory mechanisms of metabolic control in microorganisms
- Research into molecular mechanisms of stress adaptation of eukaryotic cells (e. g. yeasts or humans) with a focus on the mode of action of regulatory nucleotides
The position is limited to the period which is adequate to the duration of the qualification period. The qualification goal is a habilitation or an equivalent qualification required for a professorship. Within the scope of the assigned duties we will offer the possibility of independent scientific research for further qualification. The limitation complies to - 2, 1 S 1 WissZeitVG.
**Profile**:
- completed scientific university degree (diploma, master's degree or comparable) and a doctorate in natural sciences
- Experience in working with eukaryotic model systems
- profound knowledge in recombinant protein production and protein purification
- initial practical experience with structural biology methods (e.g. small-angle X-ray scattering, X-ray crystallography, electron microscopy) is beneficial
