As an Engineering Specialist, you will be our representative towards the OEM assigned to you, both nationally and internationally. You will ensure professional support and represent the interests of the customer, PPG internally in cooperation with the relevant departments.

This is a key role which supports sales and business development by achieving the necessary product and colour approvals for further business expansion with our tier customers. You will be in continuous dialogue with your customer for the development of innovative solution concepts for the coatings sector as well as for the identification of new trends. You will ensure that PPG is established as a key supplier to your customer.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Independent support of the assigned OEM for the relevant car segments: Exterior and interior components made of plastic or metal
- Achieving strategic cross-site OEM approvals for the supply of the tier business
- Carrying out trend and competition analyses and communication to the relevant departments
- Obtaining and communicating model and platform data, colour guides and Tier 1 information
- Preparation of target and result-oriented project plans as well as ensuring sustainable implementation in cooperation with Sales, Business Development, Segment Management, Product Management as well as with the international PPG locations.
- Active participation in the derivation of the OEM strategy, which is based on the objectives of the company and its specialist departments.
- Ensuring professional model and platform management
- Initiation of Innovation Day in cooperation with the specialist departments

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in the coatings industry preferred.
- Strong background in chemical engineering or similar.
- An excellent command of the German and English language, spoken and written.
- Outstanding teammate with strong communication skills.
