**About our client**

Our client is a leading European maintenance service provider operating in 16 countries. They are looking for a CFO to join them on their growth journey. The position will be based in Duesseldorf, Germany, and requires some travelling to the European-wide sites.
- **What the job involves**
- Setting up and leading an efficient finance function
- Responsibility for core functions such as accounting, controlling, M&A/PMI, financing, HR and IT
- Setting up relevant systems and structures
- Continuous improvement and optimisation of finance processes as well as controlling instruments and tools; implementation of automated processes
- Budget planning and forecasting, as wells as cash and liquidity management
- Providing relevant information, detailed analysis and background to underlying business performance, external benchmarks and insights to support decision-making
- Reporting accurate financial results to the management and shareholders as well as preparing ad-hoc analyses
- Coordination and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Supporting on all M&A and PMI activities
- Financing topics
- Travelling to the different sites to maintain internal relationships
- Being a business partner to the management board
- Main point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, lawyers and other external contacts

**Who we are looking for**
- University degree in Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines
- Significant experience as a CFO in a medium-sized business in the business services sector, ideally in aviation maintenance services
- Experienced in working in international and decentralized structures
- M&A/PMI experience is important
- Previous experience working with private equity investors is highly beneficial
- Outstanding finance skill set with strong controlling skills
- Experience in debt financing and working with banking syndicates is welcomed
- Strong affinity for IT and previous experience with implementation and rollouts of IT systems
- Strong analytical and strategic skills with an eye for details
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a high-energy level and a hands-on mentality
- Modern, inclusive and empathetic leader with a positive mindset as well as a team player
- Strong communication skills with fluency in German and English
