**About Ubisoft Mainz**

**Job Description**:
We are seeking a talented Animator to take on a central role in our small interdisciplinary team and make a significant impact on the visual appearance of a yet unannounced project. You will contribute high-quality animations and animated sequences that bring our game's characters, props, and VFX to life. Your expertise will be crucial in infusing our animations with emotion, creating an immersive and captivating experience for our players.

**What you will do**:

- Produce high-quality animations and animated sequences.
- Create and set up animation rigs in accordance with technical constraints.
- Integrate animation data into the game engine, ensuring compliance with engine requirements and maintaining expected quality standards.
- Ensure technical and artistic follow-up of imported assets into the game, making necessary modifications as needed.
- Maintain consistent levels of quality, efficiency, and consistency across all work.
- Establish artistic benchmarks and conduct regular monitoring.
- Ensure optimal performance and technical quality of animation assets.
- Provide support to the project and team on all animation-related topics.

**Qualifications**:
**What you bring**:

- 2-3 years of experience as an Animator, with at least 1 game title shipped.
- Ability to effectively convey feelings and emotions through animations.
- Exceptional understanding of animation workflows.
- Proficient in all aspects of real-time 3D animation creation with cxcellent knowledge of tools such as 3DSMAX, Autodesk Maya, Blender, and Motion Builder.
- Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to take initiative and work independently while delivering on schedule.
- Open to feedback and adaptable to changing requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating teamwork and proactive collaboration.
- Curiosity and a strong passion for the video game industry.
- Effective communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

**Bonus**:

- Experience with Unreal Engine and similar is a plus.
- Comprehensive understanding of mocap pipelines is a plus.
- Proficiency in 3D character modeling is a plus.
