The teams at **Ubisoft Mainz** are engineering some of Ubisoft’s biggest blockbusters. Operating from a historic city in the heart of Germany, the studio develops games pushing the limits of the genre like the acclaimed Anno 1800 and lends decades of expertise to AAA co-development projects like Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege and the upcoming Beyond Good And Evil 2.

As our new **Concept Artist (f/m/d)** at Ubisoft Mainz, you will take on a central role in our small interdisciplinary team and make a significant impact on a yet unannounced project. You will create memorable concepts for indoor and outdoor locations as well as unique hero assets that fits to our story flow.

What you will do:

- Conceptualize, design, and create 2D artworks, mood paintings, illustrations and detailed production concepts for game development.
- Ensure that concepts are suitable for the production needs of the other departments.
- Close collaboration with the Art Director to work within the visual style of the game.

**Qualifications**
What you bring:

- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Concept Artist in game development.
- Very strong skills in Photoshop with an emphasis on realistic rendering techniques.
- A keen eye for composition, color, lighting and mood.
- Deep knowledge in human anatomy, architecture and rendering environment.
- Being able to use a realistic art style.
- Fluent in English, both verbally and written.

Portfolio:
All portfolios must contain a detailed shot breakdown of the work. It must be very clear what you, the applicant, are responsible for in your reel, portfolio, screenshots etc.

The portfolio should contain the following:

- Examples of natural and realistic environments and props.
- Examples of fantastic and realistic characters.
- Examples of style variety.
