We have an exciting opportunity for a Chinarail Business Development & Network Management Head located in Germany, Cologne.
**Job purpose**
**Main Tasks**
- Strategic and commercial development of customer base, country activities and products with focus on intermodal solutions
- Development of key accounts with a high strategic impact on regional level, including MNC and CSI customers
- Development of customized solutions in the pricing offering
- Solution Design and concepts including pricing and network development
- Expanding the intermodal product portfolio connecting the markets and other DHL services
- Developing and promoting hinterland services to shippers and logistic partners
- Tackling new geographic areas and sectors and strive for continuous growth
- Lead and steer the optimization of Rate agreements
- Ensure a high-quality Solution Design, driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Build new Strategic cooperation within and outside the Company to position our Rail offering to the next level
- Ensure high quality and standards are met
- Act as Supplier and Network Relationship Management expert
- Successful execution of the end-to-end Rail Business Development in compliance with the global standards and procedures
- Keep functional costs as per budget through efficient processes and resource allocation
- Educate stakeholders on the Rail offering and their deliverables
- Interpret and/or analyze market trends and provide input for enhancement of internal processes and offering
- Participate in Global Tender Management relevant discussions or projects in the region
**Your profile**
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
- At least 8 years’ experience in the Logistic industry with a focus on Rail product and operation
- Rail product expert
- Self-starter mindset
- Customer oriented attitude / Key Account interaction experience
- Negotiation skills
- Executive Management Level engagements
- Excellent analytic skills, ability to see the bigger picture
- Strong organizational skills paired with pro-active behavior to manage simultaneous complex projects deliverables and deadlines
- Responsive and not afraid of making decisions
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills
