Your job
As a Senior Actuary, you will support Munich Re’s actuarial communities in markets such as Canada, the US, the UK, Germany, and Singapore by working on a diverse set of objectives related to actuarial modeling and experience analysis software. These objectives include:
- Implementing and assessing adherence to actuarial modelling and experience analysis best practices
- Leading global projects to integrate IT infrastructure and business requirements
- Coordinating actuarial model reviews to ensure established best practices are followed
- Supporting the Global Process Owner (GPO) and IT units manage budgets and priorities and ensure services are provided reliably
- Communicating all relevant technology updates and software releases to the actuarial modelling and biometric research communities
- Liaising between software vendors and business users
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Establishing effective communication with users through creation of a knowledge base, facilitation of discussion forums, and hosting user group/stakeholder sessions
- Managing software version releases, and directing regression testing exercises for actuarial models and biometric studies.
- Representing the interests of the actuarial modelling and biometric research communities in IT projects
**Profile**:
- An actuarial background and/or experience within the (Re)Insurance industry would be a strong asset
- University degree in a business administration, information technology, actuarial science or other similar field
- Experience with Moody’s AXIS or IDS Insight Enterprise or other actuarial modelling software is a strong asset
- Experience developing and supporting business technology systems across multiple hardware and software platforms would be an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others of various professional backgrounds
- Excellent organization, planning, documentation and experience with agile project management practices
