The Integrated CommercialPricing team is part of the Chief Technical Office Function, and asub-stream of the Pricing Transformation team as well as part ofthe Global Pricing department at Allianz Commercial. It isresponsible for driving the pricing infrastructure transformationwithin Pricing across AZ Commercial globally.

Youwill join an international department located across London,Munich, Bucharest, Singapore, Chicago, and NewYork.

The Impact You WillHave
Reporting to the IntegratedCommercial Pricing Lead you will join our new Integrated CommercialPricing team for two years to implement a harmonized single pricingservice for MidCorp and LargeCorp to enable scalability ofcentrally administered business logic. This implementation isbuilding on current Allianz Group solutions (RADAR and Python) andis based on functionality already available and owned by Allianz(GCPA).

Some of your specificresponsibilities couldinclude:

  • Function asintermediary between MidCorp and LargeCorp teams with respect tomodularisation of pricing algorithm for selected lines ofbusiness
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders inGlobal Pricing and Underwriting
  • Support theimplementation of a modular pricing service across a variety ofbusiness lines at AZ Commercial(hands-on)
  • Execute impact studies on MidCorpand LargeCorp data to quantify impact, and subsequently communicateresults
  • Contribute to the development of thePricing processes
  • Develop an expert knowledgeof the company’s data and data systems
  • Peerreview work from other teammembers

What You’llBring to theRole

  • Advanced degree ina quantitative field desirable, preferably with significantemphasis on statistical modelling or machine learning, e.g.,Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or arelated field
  • Qualified P&C Actuarypreferable
  • Comprehensive and strong experiencein building and implementing pricing models in the insuranceindustry for P&C commercial lines
  • PreviousLarge Corporate pricing experiencepreferable
  • Strong knowledge of P&Cinsurance and pricing techniquesrequired
  • Experience in building and validatingmodels using statistical software (Python, R, Emblem, SAS,etc.)
  • Conceptual understanding of APIs andtheir use in cloud applications
  • Hands-onunderstanding of a wide range of classical and modern statisticaland machine learning methods such as GLMs, decision trees, ensembleand regularization techniques, etc. Experience with Bayesianapproaches is desirable
  • Ability to workefficiently and effectively with large data sets from a variety ofsources, including both internal and externaldata
  • Organized, self-motivated,results-oriented, collaborative, and veryresourceful
  • Passionate about continuouslylearning new technical skills
  • Ability to buildstrong working relationships within the businessarea
