The **Institute of Anatomy and Molecular Neurobiology** at the University of Münster offers a fixed-term position for a postdoctoral associate in cellular neurosciences at the earliest opportunity, initially limited to 3 years, with the possibility of extension.
**Full-time with 38,5 hours**

Our research focuses on molecular mechanisms of synapse formation and neurotransmission. We seek an interested and highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to investigate the role of the synaptic organizer molecules neurexins and their defects in mutant mouse models of neurodevelopmental disorders. Current projects analyze, for example, the crosstalk of neurexins with synaptic Ca2+ channels in vitro and in vivo, and are funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.
Research associates contribute to the teaching obligations of the Institute in microscopic and macroscopic anatomy for medical students, according to qualifications and experience. Therefore, good knowledge of the German language, in addition to excellent English skills, and the ability to cooperate and work in a team are an asset. The Institute offers the possibility of obtaining your postdoctoral lecture qualification (“Habilitation”).
