Axel Springer is a Media and Technology company headquartered in Berlin, Germany. Our D&I vision is to create a diverse and inclusive work environment where everyone is respected, valued, and feels that they belong.
In April 2022 we published the very first Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) strategy which marks a special moment in our D&I journey. It’s a turning point in which we are transitioning from a conceptual phase of research, analysis, and planning to a phase of taking action.
**Job Description** member of the Global Diversity and Inclusion team within our ESG department based in Berlin, flexible start from November 2024 and a period of 6 months**.** In this role you will take on the following responsibilities**:
As part of our holistic ESG efforts, our D&I team is an integral part of our Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) department - providing us with exciting opportunities to deepen the impact of diversity and inclusion across our global business units and within our robust governance structures.
We are looking for profiles with a variety of expertise to support on some of our projects:
- support the conceptualization, implementation, and further development of ESG initiatives
- steering of projects and use cases in ESG Strategy and ESG Reporting and collaborating with stakeholders of the Axel Springer Group and subsidiaries on cross-group projects
- co-create and support in execution of our bespoke annual event, the Award for Change - our opportunity to celebrate products, people and journalism that highlight sustainable innovation and diversity & inclusion
- plan and facilitate new upskilling opportunities that can be scaled across our business units
- support initiatives designed to enable equal gender representation in leadership, aligned with our commitments
- help building and nourishing our ESG community by providing communication and discussions (through blogposts, newsletters, and maintenance of our website content) and assisting in the planning and execution of engaging events
- create actionable insights by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data about D&I goals, practices, and trends amongst companies on the media and tech market and of leaders with vision
**Qualifications** recent graduate, master’s degree student or you are currently taking a break between your Bachelor and Master, passionate about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and have**:
- a distinctive sense of responsibility, accountability, and ability to work independently with little guidance
- eagerness to take the initiative and drive your projects
- a solid attention to detail and ability to adhere to style, visual, and brand guides
- ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- extraordinary communication skills across different levels of seniority/hierarchy
- passion for exploring and trying new tools, techniques, and ways of working
- excellent command of English and German (spoken and written)
- experience in video production and graphic design (preferably experience with Adobe creative cloud apps InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects or similar) is valued but not a must
