**Cloud Architect - Digital Manufacturing (m/w/d)**

As part of the Digital Manufacturing Platform Team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new end-to-end solutions for digital manufacturing projects, in close collaboration with production plants across different locations. You will work in a cross-disciplinary team of experts from different parts of the organisation in order to achieve the target vision of the company.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Understand the business requirements and design customer-oriented end-to-end solutions on the Cloud together with other colleagues from IT and internal / external software development teams
- Design and deliver the right infrastructure, both on-premise and on the Cloud, that can support a global Digital Manufacturing Platform to be used by production plants across Viessmann
- Responsible for the deployment and support of the infrastructure together with a distributed team across nearshore / offshore locations
- Define cloud management and quality assurance standards and responsible to implement those standards
- Ensure a secure, reliable platform foundation through which millions of data points will be collected and processed on a daily basis
- Advice and support other departments regarding all questions about cloud design as well as advice and management of teams responsible for operations in complex problems and escalations

**Key skills/experience required**:

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in computer science, engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent study programmes
- At least 10+ years experience with Cloud and on-premise infrastructures
- Strong prior experience in the IT department of a mid-size organisation, along with exposure to IT security requirements and related standards
- Prior knowledge in sizing, benchmarking and performance tuning of the right hardware infrastructure and cloud services to satisfy the specified performance criteria and other non-functional requirements
- Experience with OpenShift, Azure VM, Azure IoT Hub, RabbitMQ, Device connectivity protocols, Linux systems, Windows servers, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Network topologies etc.
- Fluent German language skills along with strong English skills
- Prior background in SAP tools landscape is a definite advantage
