POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER (M/F/d) / WISSENSCHAFTLICHER MITARBEITER (m/w/d)

YOUR TASKS
- Supervision of undergraduate and graduate student theses
- Support for the courses offered by the Institute for Algorithms and Complexity
- Participation in selected research projects and the curriculum of "DASHH - Data Science in Hamburg - Helmholtz Graduate School for the Structure of Matter"

YOUR PROFILE
- University studies completed with above-average success, in particular in the field of computer science with a focus on theoretical computer science, in the field of mathematics with a focus on optimization or discrete mathematics, in the field of operations research or similar.
- Above-average, completed doctorate related to the teaching or research areas of the Institute for Algorithms and Complexity
- Experience in publishing research results in publications at relevant computer science/mathematics conferences and their presentation, or publications in relevant journals
- Interest in complex optimization problems motivated by data science and skill in solving them algorithmic techniques, especially approximation algorithms, parameterized algorithms and integer programming
- Very good communication skills in German and English for project meetings, reports, publications and presentations
