Biorepository Technician

The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a motivated Biorepository Technician (f/m/d) for the management of biological samples.- Who you are- Completed education in logistics, retail, warehousing or a related field
- Sound understanding of basic logistics processes (stock management, receiving and shipping goods, digital documentation, picking and packing)
- Hands-on experience in handling biological samples is an advantage, but not a must
- You are organized and have an eye for detail
- Reliable with a transparent communication style
- Good MS Office user skills (MS Excel know-how highly desirable)
- Fluent in English is a must
- Good understanding of German (B1-B2 level) required
- How you will thrive and create an impact- Inbound: receiving, registering and storing biological material or documents
- Documentation of received and stored materials as well as any discrepancies in the internal data management system
- Outbound: Packing, preparing, and shipping materials in accordance with legal requirements and shipping guidelines
- Placement of all incoming and outgoing materials in suitable storage locations
- Preparation of storeroom area for the reception of incoming parcels
- Keep the lead technician and biorepository management informed of daily progress, including irregularities and deviations from normal
- Archiving: Perform archiving procedures for the completion of assigned projects
- Compliance with applicable work instructions (SOPs)
