**About the role**:
As the functional lead for product design team, you will oversee the experience design, UX writing and experience research functions for Horizons. You will guide a team of product designers that craft outstanding experiences for a wide spectrum of users and platforms. You will set ambitious goals for your team and help them achieve it by being a leader that motivates and teaches others.

- You will be the ultimate owner of our UX, ensuring that your team delivers consistent experiences with an attention to detail
- You will work side by side with other leaders in the organization and help establish a design-centric culture

**What you bring**:

- 6+ years of industry experience
- Worked in a scale-up or mid-market company
- Has designed experiences for multiple products (plus B2B, B2C, Mobile and Desktop)
- Has substantial experience in various areas of UX design (e.g., UI, IxD, IA)
- Has successfully launched multiple products and design systems
- Experience in leading teams of individual contributors and developing them - plus managed external designers as well as managed designers in both product and other areas (e.g., website)
- Alignment of the UX team with other stakeholders (e.g., product management, engineering) to ensure short feedback loops and an efficient split of work.
- Planning and prioritize team-wide time and effort so we can launch projects at scale.
- Setting up of systems and processes that allow us to quickly scale the UX team if necessary.
- Ability to recruit new designers, setting the bar higher with each new hire.
- Experience to enable the UX team to build a simple but recognizable design language for Horizons that puts customer UX first.
- Experience in Introducing processes and systems that lead to a consistent design practice that's in line with current trends.
