**Your Role**:
**As a S1000D Author/ Technical Writer you will be responsible for providing the necessary S1000D Authoring Expertise and Experience required to develop and maintain Interactive Electronic Technical Documentation (IETD) whilst meeting the cost, performance, quality and schedule objectives of the project.**
- **Providing knowledge about mark-up languages such as XML, HTML, DITA XML or SGML**
- **Compiling a Data Module Requirement List (DMRL)**
- **Compiling and authoring the Business Rules document with customers**
- **Maintaining the Business Rules Document and the BREX data module**
- **Creating the Functionality Matrix**
- **Inspecting the initial quality**
- **Tagging compliance**
- **Training and coaching technical writing staff**
- **Developing or assuring compliance with a style guide/ style sheets**
- **Evaluating team performance**
- **Creating demonstration data modules to show the customer**

**Your Profile**:

- **A relevant tertiary qualification coupled with at least 2 years S1000D Authoring Experience in a complex technology project environment**
- **Experience in developing and maintaining Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETP)/ **Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM)**
- **Knowledge of the following topics is required: ASD Spec 1000D, National Style Guide (NSG) S1000D, S1000D Guidance Document, ASD 2000M, ASD S3000L**
- **You are familiar with the following terminology: BREX, Business Rules, CSDB, DMC, SNS, Infocode, DTD, Schema and ICN**
- **You have proven experience in one or more of the following tools: R4i S1000D Product Suite ADG, EAGLE, GRIPS, HICO, Schema ST4, TIM-RS, PTC Arbortext Editor or structured **Adobe **FrameMaker**
- **Knowledge of the ILS processes and their relationship to the project Systems Engineering requirements**
- **Excellent written and oral communication skills**
