The requirements for this are qualified and committed employees.**Characterization of NK cell development in a human iPSC-model**
In the scope of this project we plan to characterize the commitment of hematopoietic stem progenitor cells to the natural killer (NK) cell lineage in early lymphocyte development. Defined NK cell populations will be studied in NK lymphocytes derived from genetically engineered human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) in vitro, as well as in peripheral blood obtained from healthy controls and patients suffering from different diseases.
- NK cells belong to the innate immune system and play an important role in the viral immune defense and tumor surveillance by mediating cellular cytotoxicity. During their development, which starts in the bone marrow and proceeds in secondary lymphoid organs, NK lymphocytes are shaped by external and endogenous factors that will be investigated in this project.**We offer**:

**Your profile**:

- Master degree in Biology, Molecular Medicine, Biochemistry or related fields
- Strong interest in immunology and stem cell biology
- Experience in cell culture and flow cytometry is advantageous but not mandatory
