Food Runner Verōnika

**The Role**
Our Food Runners provide operational support to ensure that all guests at Verōnika Restaurant & Bar receive service excellence. Our Runners ensure that food is safely delivered from the kitchen to the table as required. Delivering plates by hand or tray, serving at the table, setting up and taking down the service stations, always following the Sequence of Service set by the Verōnika leadership team. Our Runners report directly to the Verōnika Restaurant Manager and represent Fotografiska with hospitality, warmth and grace in every interaction.
**Requirements**:
- 2+ years of experience as a Food Runner or in a similar role in the upscale hospitality industry, Food + Beverage.
- Provide our guests with in-depth knowledge of all restaurant and bar menus and ensure that the quality of all food delivered consistently meets the high standards of the Verōnika leadership team.
- You will take instructions from the Chef de Cuisine, Restaurant Manager or Captain, dispense the appropriate food for the table, deliver to the respective outlet and keep the server stations clean and clear at all times.
- Consistently follow the Verōnika Sequence of Service using all procedures set by the Verōnika leadership team.
- Thorough knowledge of coffee and tea menus and the ability to explain them to guests in an engaging and attentive manner.
- Thorough knowledge of all beverages: coffee/tea/non-alcoholic beverages/wine/beer/spirits.
- Provide impeccable customer service by promptly responding to our guests' needs and constantly soliciting feedback to the Verōnika leadership team to improve service.
- Assist in restocking and maintaining stations and clearing tables in accordance with Verōnika standards.
- Respond promptly and deal with any spills or breakages - report any service issues to the Captain or Restaurant Manager.
- Efficiently carry out all pre and post service procedures, ensuring everything is put away and cleaned, passing appropriate utensils to kitchen porters, polishing cutlery and restocking stations, clearing and restocking linen bins.
- Ongoing participation in scheduled team training to ensure detailed product knowledge, growth and professionalism.
- Decisive, takes ownership for implementing actions, thinks ahead and develops contingency plans.
- Motivated and dedicated, approach all tasks with enthusiasm and take opportunities to acquire new skills and knowledge to improve performance.
- Flexible, responds quickly and positively to a changing environment.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment.
- Fluency in German and English is an advantage.
- Have a positive impact, taking responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, always clearly communicating with our members, guests and F&B leadership.
