As the **Head of Finance** at Ananda Impact, your primary role is to oversee the financial activities of the fund. This includes monitoring the fund management activities such as cash flow and ensuring that there is enough capital to support investments. You will also be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the fund's financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory policies. Additionally, you will work closely with the Ananda Investment Partners to handle all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cash management, and administration. The role is based in Munich, Germany.

In this position, you will be the go-to person for internal and external reporting, ensuring high standards of financial management tasks across the funds. You will also manage a variety of investor relations requests. Your role will involve overseeing Ananda's finances and providing reporting and analysis for the funds, as well as portfolio reporting, advisory board, and investor reporting. A significant portion of the job will also involve providing ad-hoc support to investors and the Ananda Partners team.

Your tasks will include but will not be limited to:

- Manage and lead the finance function of Ananda which includes accounting, reporting and ensuring compliance
- Partner with the Investment Team to track key financial and operational data of our portfolio companies
- Manage the fund’s investor communication, i.e. ad-hoc requests, reporting issues
- Handle regular yearly and quarterly investor reporting as well as internal tracking of fund development and finance deliverables for the funds
- Leading regulatory and compliance issues including KYC guidelines
- Creating and implementing management information and record-keeping systems to support controlling/reporting, investment, fundraising, investor relations, and general administration activities.
- You are responsible for coordinating with third party service providers such as auditors, tax consultants, and banks
- Day to day interaction with external accountants and key stakeholders to provide financial information to the funds and the portfolio companies
- Prepare and present financial materials in audit committees, board meetings etc.
- Prepare capital calls and track payment flow for investments, as well as tracking of bank accounts and statements
- Support in annual account generation as well as annual audit
- Be responsible for monitoring fund performance and deployment models, supporting fundraising through modeling and investment decks
- Prepare any ad-hoc analysis as required
- Support on tax related matters and directly liaise with external advisors and tax authorities.

**Required Skill Set**
- You have a university degree in finance, business administration, or a relevant field with a specific focus on accounting, audit, or controlling.
- Relevant work experience as a fund controller or a finance manager in investment banking, VC/PE Funds, or the Big4 in accounting/audit or transaction services
- Knowledge of fund-related regulatory requirements and controls, such as AML and KYC issues
- Solid experience in funds accounting, controlling and financial modeling, and compliance
- Ability to quickly build relationships within the team, to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders and investors
- Significant motivation to work in the impact investing sector
- Proactive, flexible, and practical attitude, an entrepreneurial mindset, motivated and excited to take ownership
- Attention to detail, highly analytical and solution-oriented thinking
- Fluent in English and German
- University degree or equivalent academic credentials reflecting highly qualified academic credentials
- Experience with fundraising activities is a great plus
