Project Planning Controller

**Job Description Summary**: HVDC Projects are large and complex projects with multiple sites and multiple teams involved. Project planning Manager role is part of the Project Controls function and role is to manage project schedules for a specific package of the project and coordinate with other project planning controllers to establish and maintain the full project planning.
**Role & responsibilities**:
- She/he is key member of the project team providing schedule status to the PM and to the Lead Project Planner
- Develops and maintains the single project schedule representing the specified scope of work by integrating inputs from all functions, units and third parties contributing to the project
- Ensure proper linkages in schedule to show all interdependencies between contributing parties
- Delivers a high quality schedule aligned with global standards to ensure project is accurately represented
- Provides schedule analysis to determine project schedule risks and opportunities then works with project team members to drive risk mitigation strategies
- Provides look ahead, backlog and future late reporting with prioritizations to clearly communicate potential and real risk and drive the project priorities
- Provides regular status reporting with forecasting and analytics to project team members
- Provides contractually required customer reporting and is able to communicate directly with customers on scheduling matters
- Generates “what if” scenarios to optimize execution and works with project teams to evaluate feasibility
- Aligns with cost controlling function to ensure clear alignment between cost and schedule to ensure accurate
- Support change order analysis with schedule analytics and forecasts
- Organize/lead timely Planning Reviews with project team, to share all schedules issues and define/validate mitigation plan
- Load resources into the project schedule
- Support disputes and analysis of claims
- Vital for the planner to frequently and clearly communicate the project status to all project participants, especially PM. And escalate issues/risks to ensure properly addressed
**Qualifications**:
- Degree qualified in Engineering, preferable with background
- As a plus:
- Previous experience with carried out organizational and strategic planning process would be appreciated
- Carried out Planning integration principles and methods
- Carried out Contract management: made EOTs and supported negotiations
- Carried out Risks management
- Carried out Schedules “what if” analysis
- Has Experience in Substations
**Behavioural skills / competencies**:
- Communication (English language a must, German a plus)
- Contribute to the decision making. Critical approach of data on hands
- Proactive communication /Anticipation and problem solving aptitude
