**Description**:
Berlin-based Kaiko Systems GmbH was founded in late 2020 to make shipping safer, smarter, and more collaborative. We are turning manual work into actionable intelligence in the maritime industry. With a user-friendly mobile app, ship crews are able to continuously collect reliable technical data on the job. The automated, AI-based analysis then provides shore teams with data-based insights on risks and efficiency gains.
With reputable customers like Columbia Ship Management, Atlantic Lloyd, HS Schiffahrt and many more, we're geared for growth. We’re looking for professionals that will grow further with us, sharpening our edge in the industry.

**Your mission**:
As a key member of the leadership team, the successful and smooth scaling of the company will depend on your work, and the processes you put in place. Taking full ownership of operations and finance, you will be simultaneously hands-on and strategic, motoring an established 3-year old startup with proven product-market-fit into a phase of fast international expansion. It’s time to build a category-defining market leader.

You will:

- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration. Ensure key functions within the company, including sales, customer success, and finance work in harmony, and are ready to scale
- Anticipate the challenges brought by scale, establishing and maintaining robust operational systems and processes, for example around finance, controlling, and governance, that support the growth and scalability of the company.
- Foster effective communication channels to ensure a seamless flow of information across departments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify and nurture talent within the team, promoting professional growth and succession planning.
- Collaborate closely with the Customer Success team to ensure client needs are met and exceeded, fostering strong customer relationships and loyalty.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements based on insights gained.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the operations team and regularly report progress to the executive team and board of directors.
- Analyze data and make data-driven decisions to drive operational excellence and growth.

**Your profile**:
You know what it takes for a startup to scale. You have:

- A proven track record of successfully scaling B2B software companies, ideally in the SaaS space.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Native-level written and spoken English. Any other languages are a plus.
- A strategic mindset with a focus on achieving both short-term and long-term goals.
- Motivation to roll up your sleeves and get things done
- A degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA and/or a consulting background is a plus.
- A strong understanding of maritime logistics and related industries is a plus.
- You are a true teamplayer with a great sense of humour.
