We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Payments Officer to join our team. As a Payments Officer, you will be responsible for investigating Bank-to-Bank Payments and Bank-to-Customer Payments in a SWIFT environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a solid understanding of payment processes and experience working in a SWIFT environment. To join in our Munich or Frankfurt office.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct investigations on Bank-to-Bank Payments and Bank-to-Customer Payments.
- Work within a SWIFT environment, utilising tools such as SWIFT, PTS, MT1xx, MT2xx, PACS 008, PACS 009, MX, Target2, and EB.
- Utilise your knowledge of payment processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Book transactions on internal accounts, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to internal procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payments.

**Required Skills**:

- Strong experience in a SWIFT environment, with a solid understanding of SWIFT messaging and payment processes.
- Knowledge of general payment principles and practices.
- Proficiency in booking transactions on internal accounts.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Fluent in German, both written and spoken.
- Basic knowledge of English.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.

**Nice-to-Have Skills**:

- Knowledge of Bank-to-Bank Payment processes.
- Familiarity with PACS 008 and PACS 009 message types.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and the impact of transactions on the accounting system.
- Strong command of the English language.

**Not Required**:

- Commercial experience or senior-level experience is not necessary for this role.
