**Your tasks**:
As an Engineering Delivery Lead (Department Manager) (M/F/d) for Store Evolution you are responsible for overarching technology-related decisions for a new instore technology stack, e.g., our cash register, parts of our goods management system as well as several mobile Applications for our stores and with that an integral part of our omnichannel platform. You actively develop the new domain‘s technology organization and steer solution architectures to contribute to the company’s strategic goal of providing seamless omnichannel processes.

You will have disciplinary responsibility for a growing team of engineers and you report directly to the responsible Vice President and work closely with the Lead Product Owner (M/F/d), your peer in your domain, who is responsible for the product organization.

Your roles responsibilities also include:

- Owning and developing the domain’s tech vision and roadmap in alignment with strategic company goals, the enterprise architecture und its guiding principles
- Being responsible for the quality, the delivery, and operations of the systems of the domain
- Assessing & aligning the highly complex and interdependent technology requirements towards your domain together with your Principal Engineer
- Actively fostering cross-functional collaboration with engineering and product leads across all domains of the global MediaMarktSaturn product portfolio
- Establishing and managing product teams, ensuring they are properly staffed regarding size and skills
- Owning, planning, and accounting for your domain’s budget and all finance-related topics
- Supporting the team leads in developing the engineers, ensuring performance, and removing impediments
- Driving tech innovation together with your Principal Engineer and nurturing an open, future-oriented mindset within your domain whilst honoring and optimizing existing software
- Taking responsibility for domain-wide risk, dependency, change and stakeholder management from a technology perspective
- Representing your domain, its products, value proposition and requirements from a technology perspective towards the executive management
- Actively manage external partners

**Requirements**:

- An open-minded, inspiring, and value-driven nature
- Deep technology affinity, excited about new technology and how to leverage it combined with an understanding for the value of existing software and ways to optimize it
- Solid understanding of Microservice architectures, Large scale cloud systems and API Design
- Experience with mobile App development
- Several years of work experience in tech-heavy roles, preferably in scaled agile (product) organizations
- Profound understanding of agile principles, how agile organizations create value and of common frameworks such as SAFe and SCRUM and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Impeccable business judgement and management of uncertainty
- Experience in leading and managing multiple engineering teams in parallel; comfortable managing several topics at the same time
- Graduation in Business Informatics, Informatics, or comparable qualification
- Full professional proficiency in English, German is a plus
- Expertise with store processes in a multichannel retail environment
