About Energy-Aware Production Scheduling and Production Control
Our AI-driven optimization software is designed to efficiently schedule production in response to fluctuating energy prices. By doing so, it not only helps lower energy costs but also reduces the greenhouse gas emissions associated with the production process.
The software takes into account the unique energy requirements of each product throughout its various manufacturing stages within the factory. Furthermore, it considers the variability of energy prices during the manufacturing process, which can be based on market exchange rates or forecasts for renewable energy generation.
Aufgaben
Comparison of Optimization-Algorithms
- Comparison of our Genetic Algorithm agains others (Linear Programming, Reinforcement Learning)
- Definition of benchmark cases
- Implementation of possible improvements
- Literature research on scheduling algorithms

Qualifikation
- Programming experience (ideally: python)
- Interest in energy and production processes in the industry
- Ability to collaborate in an agile team environment
- Good communication skills in German or English
- Will, ambition and above all being able to joke around a bit
