What to expect
- In terms of content, you will focus on the design of the “built environment” on all scales, supported by data processing algorithms.
- To that effect, the aim of your area of teaching and research is to integrate data-driven tools and methods of analysis into the design process.
- It should be noted that MSA attaches great importance to professional engagement with changes in spatial production brought about by digitalisation.
- Your agenda will also include combining interdepartmental networking in teaching and research in the strategic area of development concerning “digitalisation”.
- Finally, we expect you to get involved in our self-government and in driving forward our internationalisation strategy.
Your background
- Your expertise is based on a successful degree in architecture as well as several years of experience in practice and/or research, including the independent implementation of projects in the advertised field of activity.
- A relevant doctorate is desirable. The requirements for recruitment under Section 36 of the Higher Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (HSG NRW) apply.
- Your expertise covers the collection, linking and evaluation of digital data, as well as a knowledge of programming.
- We value your interest in digital design methodology and the (further) development of key research areas concerning current issues of digitalisation, with a particular emphasis on data.
- You also stand out on account of your willingness to develop as digitalisation progresses.
- Your profile is rounded off by an understanding of design relating to the connection between architectural concepts, creative design and spatial perception.
