The purpose of the Global Travel team is to ensure the company adheres to all relevant travel regulations and procedures and that our service delivery offers best practice by way of travel booking and management from all aspects including:

- Identifying the best travel solutions in terms of cost, safety and time efficient
- Ease of booking
- Centralised payments
- “One stop shop” for all travel needs locally, nationally and internationally

To ensure success as a corporate travel manager, you should have exceptional knowledge of best practices in travel management and display analytical prowess.

In this role, you will be required to lead the regional travel managers to work together to deliver a true Global facing travel team, ensuring the teams core strengths are fully utilised. You will be required to coordinate ongoing developments within the travel industry, the different categories of travel as well as future strategic new countries as they join RWE.

**Other aspects of the role would incorporate**:

- Having responsibility for engaging with internal stakeholders (incorporating all OpCos’s within the RWE Portfolio, as well as HR, Security)
- Monitoring industry trends to influence the RWE Travel management strategy whilst driving continuous improvements on a Global basis
- Ensuring centralised, effective and relevant targeted communication with the business is achieved ensuring the business are aware of the relevant processes, the relevant contracts and the specific country contacts that are in place
- Engagement with the Procurement teams to identify strategic benefits (cost and process)
- Defining the strategy of Travel Management for the RWE Group
- Responsibility for ensuring Projects within the team are delivered within time, budget and functionality and must have excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
- Coordinate with the relevant functions to automate both invoicing and reconciliation of payments as part of the Travel process (for the supplier and the traveller)

**Your Profile**
- Previous working experience as corporate travel manager for 5 years with an excellent knowledge of travel management process
- Exceptional managerial skills and proven ability to work with a variety of service providers and staff members.
- Hands-on experience with international travel regulations and currencies
- Minimum 2 years of experience with T&E (Travel & Expense) reporting and processing
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to motivate a team
- Critical-thinker and problem-solver
- A bachelor's degree in tourism, travel, hospitality, or a similar field - any additional certification related to traveling and tourism will be considered as an advantage
- Understanding of budgets and managing Service level Agreements (SLA)

**Reporting**
- Reports to: Head of Department - Other Indirects and Travel
- Direct Reports: 4 FTE in the Travel Management Team are planned
