We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of RFQ Management Region Europe located in Germany, Bonn.

**Job purpose**
Regional ownership of the Global Tender process and Tender tool (S360 | RFQ)
Management of all operative tender related activities in the region.
Building the bridge between all involved stakeholders in the TM process in the region

Establishing, maintaining, and further improving the Global Tender Process within the region and countries in alignment with head office.

Reports to: VP Head of Marketing & Sales Europe

**Main Tasks**

**Responsible**
- Lead, steer and manage the team of Tender Management in the region Europe
- Ensure a high-quality tender process including internal management of all matters of preparation, strategy setting, solutions design and bid submission for existing and target customers
- Drive continuous improvement and development of the regional TM team’s job relevant skillset to enable them to deliver excellence
- Lead selected tenders for accounts with a high strategic impact on regional level according to TM process.
- Gather lessons learnt and best-practices and identify success factors for tender management on region level
- Keep abreast of relevant industry information, innovations, technology, and best practice to drive continuous improvement and shares relevant information with the TM team.
- Act as a central knowledge center for tender management handling and processing on region level
- Aligns and collaborates with Head of Global Tender Management in corporate head office to safeguard compliance with the Global Tender process and to ensure uniform internal / external customer experience when working with the Global Tender team across all regions.
- Engages senior regional leadership for strategic development and regional support and compliance to the Global Tender Process

- Achieving the defined targets within tender management
- Keep functional costs as per budget through efficient processes and resource allocation

- Educate stakeholders on the process and their deliverables within the tender process
- Interpret and/or analyze tender report data from GTP and provide input for enhancement of available dashboard.
- Participate in Global Tender Management relevant discussions or projects in the region

- On case studies or new solutions by product / vertical
- Updates on the global tender and pricing process

**Your profile**
- Pro-actively and independently acting
- A diplomatic and courteous personality
- Relevant experience in sales
- experience in tenders or procurement is a plus
- Understanding of air & sea transport
- High sense for interdisciplinary (internal and external) collaboration and ability to align different stakeholders
- High affinity for provision of services / sales-oriented person/attitude
- Customer oriented attitude / Key Account interaction experience
- Negotiation skills
- Excellent analytic skills, ability to take helicopter view to see the bigger picture
- Understanding of company strategy and the ability to translate this in a pragmatic approach and steering of the department
- Ability to work under pressure - sense of urgency and “can do” mentality
- High level of self-motivation and flexibility
- Commitment to task and results focused
- Willingness to travel
- Fluent spoken and written English (business and presentation fluent)
