**About The Role**

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our EMEA Finance Team for a Finance Director to support FTI business within the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). The role will be based in the FTI Frankfurt office.

This is a key leadership role in the EMEA Finance organisation. This role requires an established Financial Director, with approximately 15 years' experience, in a mid to large global organization, ideally listed, handling technical accounting issues, spearheading compliance across a multi-jurisdictional environment and leading teams to design, implement and maintain a strong and efficient internal control environment to deliver timely and accurate financial statements, as well as to protect the assets of the company. This role requires a finance professional who is well versed in US GAAP, local German GAAP, and the requirements under the Sarbanes Oxley Act ('SOX') for a U.S. listed company, as well as a detailed understanding of the internal and external requirements of a regional finance organisation.

This role reports to the DACH Leadership Team (especially CFO), with a matrixed reporting structure to the EMEA Region Finance Director and will be charged with creating a Finance, Tax and Accounting organization focused on compliance and business support that can be leveraged globally, outside of the immediate DACH wide remit.

The role will collaborate with leaders across the DACH, EMEA, and Segment Finance organisation; other EMEA Controllers, Payroll, Shared Services, Billing and Cash Management, Tax and Financial Planning & Analysis.

**What You'll Do**
- Leadership and management of a team of accounting, finance, and tax experts in all internal and external financial compliance requirements
- Provide input to DACH Leadership for financial business reviews
- Build capabilities through development of people, processes, and systems to identify areas of inefficiency and opportunities for improvement within finance processes
- Go-to person for all accounting, finance, payroll, and tax matters on the FTI DACH business. As a senior role, the Finance Director will contribute to the financial strategy of a business and will be pivotal in the development of all internal control policies and procedures
- Responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the entities' accounting records, including the financial statements, VAT, social security, and other tax returns in cooperation with our Tax team.
- Ensuring all transactions are recorded, filed, and reported timely and accurately
- Oversight of payroll process which is outsourced to a service provider
- Responsible for the DACH entities compliance with the local legislation and regulatory environment with regards to finance/accounting
- Lead all external statutory audits across the DACH geography. Direct the audit strategy and actively manage the audit teams to deliver timely statutory audits
- Ownership of all accounting disclosures relating to the DACH region, partnering with the group external reporting and technical teams to ensure all deliverables are met timely and accurately
- Lead for DACH wide SOX controls; oversee the design, implementation, and effectiveness of the controls. Ensure that all SOX requirements are met through continuous review process and ownership of periodic SOX testing by the group internal audit function
- Adding value and supporting business growth by developing the company's budgeting and forecasting model for DACH region and providing robust and insightful financial information
