**Duties**:
Operates variety of vehicles to transport personnel, cargo, and animals from lodging facilities, airports and hotels to designated destinations within 3 hours of the Spangdahlem AB. Loads and unloads vehicles by hand ensuring cargo is protected and secured. Provides customers with pertinent information in regards to operations, policies and pricing.
Required to look up, track and convey flight information using web based program during work hours.
Responsible for compliance of safe driving techniques, vehicle speed limitation and posted speed limits.
Responsible for minor vehicle maintenance
- checking oil, air pressure, fluid levels, washing, cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
Ensures equipment being transported does not exceed the maximum weight limits.
Completes required vehicle records, accident reports and vehicle maintenance issues.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and one every three years thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health, ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid USAREUR Driver's License to operate vehicles.
**Qualifications**:

**Qualifying Experience**:
Must have skill in maneuvering vehicles weighing up to 26,000lbs and securing cargo for transit. Must have knowledge of sizes and weights of vehicles as well as defensive driving techniques/regulations
**Education**:
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
**Additional information**:
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
