Role Dimensions
The Revenue & Growth planning team is accountable for all RGM and GM levers across pack, channel, price and promotion and will use this to orchestrate the business approval of the one commercial plan that drives what we sell and execute. The team will work closely with the marketing, commercial and finance directors to ensure plans are constantly optimised delivering the needs of consumers, customers and Diageo.
The RGM Promo & Mix Strategy Lead will focus on the Promo and Mix RGM levers, developing promo guide rails, mechanics, and assortment mix solutions in a complex environment of local competition, international price defensibility and global brand strategies. This will be a pivotal role aligning in
- and above market senior stakeholders to one coherent strategy that drives predicable revenue growth and sustainable long term market share. This role reports to the Head of Revenue Growth & Planning.
Top Functional Accountabilities
- Develop promo guiderails, mechanics, and assortment mix solutions for Northern Europe, focusing on key battleground occasions, countries, and price tiers and align the right portfolio prioritization to deliver on the country and brand strategies.
- Align our promo and mix strategy with Global Brand strategies and our European pricing strategy.
- Lead the promo and mix governance process, driving on time decision making, senior stakeholder alignment, and ensure best in class tools and insights are available to support decision making.
- Develop a deep understanding of the short
- and long-term ROI of promo and mix, building a data bank for on-going optimisation, developing controls for the monitoring of promo and mix implementation, performance diagnostics, and prescriptive analytics.
- Lead category and brand sprints to define revenue and margin enhancement opportunities around promo and mix, and embed into the commercial plans working closely with the Strategy & Analytics team, RGM Country Managers, Consumer & Shopper Marketing, and Commercial Directors to create consumer and customer propositions.
- Champion a revenue management culture within Diageo Northern Europe by influencing behaviors that drive smarter decisions resulting in sales and margin growth.
