**Intern in Protein Expression and Purification (f/m/d)**
**YOUR TASKS AND EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES**
- Work on future-oriented tasks at Biologics Research in the field of Protein Sciences and AAV biology
- Design DNA plasmids for protein expression
- Express recombinant proteins using mammalian expression systems
- Purify proteins by multi-step chromatographic procedures using both manual and automated systems
- Conduct both small-scale expression tests as well as scale up expression for preparative purposes
- Characterize proteins using SDS-PAGE, western blotting, size exclusion chromatography, and binding and functional assays
- Work in a multidisciplinary team
- Collaborate with teams from other laboratories
- Gain insight into the processes of Protein Sciences and AAV biology
**WHO YOU ARE**
- You are an enrolled student (M/F/d) of biology
- You have basic laboratory experience in the field of biochemistry and cell biology
- You are familiar with the common Microsoft Office programs
- You have good time and organizational management skills
- You are characterized by your independent working style and enjoy working in a team
- You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, German language skills are an advantage
