Short-term Housing Coordinator

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Short-Term Housing Coordinator to join our team. As the Short-Term Housing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating comfortable and seamless temporary housing solutions for individuals and families in need. Your focus will be on ensuring that clients have a supportive and secure environment during their transitional periods.

Tasks
- Needs Evaluation: Conduct initial assessments to determine clients' specific housing needs and preferences, taking into consideration individual circumstances.
- Matching and Placement: Match clients with suitable short-term housing options, considering location, availability, and special requirements.
- Communication Hub: Maintain open and clear lines of communication with clients, keeping them informed about their housing arrangements, addressing questions, and providing essential information.
- Collaboration: Work closely with housing providers, landlords, and property managers to secure short-term accommodations, negotiate terms, and ensure a smooth transition for clients.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client details, housing assignments, and all communication related to temporary accommodations.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports outlining occupancy rates, demographic information, and other pertinent data for management and funding purposes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance processes and contribute to the development of best practices within the short-term housing program.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Tourismus or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in coordinating short-term housing, housing support, or similar roles is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a compassionate and professional demeanor when interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational aptitude and attention to detail, particularly in managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in using computer software for record keeping and communication purposes.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a sincere commitment to assisting individuals and families during periods of transition.
