The working group of Dr. Tonni Grube Andersen at the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research is hiring a

Biological technical assistant (BTA) (M/F/div)

The position is limited to 2 years.

Your tasks
- DNA and RNA extraction from plants and bacteria
- Molecular biological and microbiological activities such as various PCR processes, gateway cloning, agrobacterium and plant transformation. As well as care and storage of genetically modified seeds.
- Detailed documentation of laboratory activities. General laboratory work, ordering and organization.

**Profile**:

- You have completed vocational training as a technical assistant (BTA, BioTA), laboratory assistant or comparable qualification.
- Experience with genetic, molecular biological and biochemical working methods (PCR, cloning, DNA and RNA isolation, etc.) is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of the English language required.
- Ability to work in a team, sense of responsibility, motivation and a great interest in work.
- High willingness to learn new methods. Enjoying close cooperation and knowledge sharing with colleagues.
