Together with university partners at seven renowned partner sites, we have established the German Cancer Consortium (DKTK).
At the DKTK partner site in Freiburg, we have an immediately available postdoctoral position in the field of microenvironment and immunology research. The position is located in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University Medical Center Freiburg.

**Job description**:
- Further development of spatial transcriptomic platforms (Visium, Stereo-Seq, and MERSCOPE)
- Development of AI-based models for analysis and prediction of functional read-outs
- Integration and further development of the software platform SPATA (SPAtial Transcriptomic Analysis)
- Supervision of PhD students
- Personal development and preparation for a professorship qualification (Habilitation)
- _Weiterentwicklung von räumlichen Transkriptom-Plattformen (Visium, Stereo-Seq und MERSCOPE)_
- _ Entwicklung von KI-gestützten Modellen zur Analyse und Vorhersage von funktionellen Read-outs_
- _ Integration und Weiterentwicklung der Software-Plattform SPATA (SPAtial Transcriptomic Analysis)_
- _ Betreuung von Doktoranden_
- _ Persönliche Weiterentwicklung und Vorbereitung auf eine Habilitation_
**Requirements**:
- Wir suchen eine:n motivierte:n Mitarbeiter:in mit Erfahrung im Bereich von RNA-Sequenzierungen, single-cell genomics und räumlicher Transkriptomik. Wir setzen Erfahrung in der Anwendung und Entwicklung von Algorithmen voraus sowie hervorragende Kenntnisse in R und Python. Zudem sollten Sie Erfahrung und Verständnis für den biologischen Kontext und klinische Fragestellungen mitbringen. Eine abgeschlossene Promotion ist erwünscht, ein Masterabschluss muss jedoch mindestens vorhanden sein. Darüber hinaus werden gute Englischkenntnisse vorausgesetzt._
