In order to support our **Supply Support Operations Department in Aftersales **, Airbus is looking for an

**Export Control Officer (d/f/m)**:
in **Hamburg **, Germany, with a start date of **July 2024 **(earlier/later possible).

Export control is a critical enabler of our business and our strategic growth in Customer Services. It touches every aspect of our business, be it supporting the in-service fleet operations, sourcing parts and components from our suppliers and sharing technical information.

Each year the Supply Support Operations Team ensures deliveries of kit s to our customers worldwide, dealing with purchase orders from suppliers, supporting working parties and onsite support missions.

Your location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. **Your tasks and responsibilities**
- Act as a first point of contact supporting the business and liaise with central/regional export control or compliance teams when necessary
- Provide elementary know-how guidance on export control compliance
- Identify and escalate to the export control teams any potential export control compliance breach
- Support the Export Control Officers (ECO) and and other export control practitioners, by reinforcing key messages related to export control compliance: classification, licensing, management of tangibles/intangibles, military and dual-use, sanctions and embargoes, etc.
- Contribute towards answering and supporting the operational elements of export control in their business/function, with working practices tailored to their particularities
- Build and animate a strong Export Control Point of Contacts (EPoCs) network to help people in their daily work and guarantee compliance
- Generate and provide guidance material

This role can involve irregular travel (4 - 6 times/year) for business and as such you have to be able to travel accordingly.

Desired skills and qualifications
- Diploma/master’s degree in the field of aerospace engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification acquired in another way (e.g. law/economics)
- Several years experience in the area of export control
- Profound knowledge in supply chain and logistics environment
- Experience in the legal field desirable
- Practical experience in a development-oriented industrial environment, process driven
- Project management skills are a clear plus

Desired soft skills
- You are an autonomous person who has proactive ways of working
- You are a very structured person with a confidence appearance who likes working in detail, a “deep thinker”
- You have the ability to convince and motivate people of the importance of export control
- Ethic and compliance behavior is in your DNA

**Desired language skills**
- Negotiation level of English
- German or French is a plus
